Local Rules

Out of Bounds

As defined by white stakes and all boundary fences and all oil lines defining clubhouse enclosure and greenkeepers house.

Ball out of bounds -stroke and distance relief must be taken rule 18.2 b

 

Penalty areas

Water hazards are marked by Red pegs lateral water hazards are marked by red pegs

 

Lateral penalty areas

Right of the 5th fairway. Right of the 12th fairway. Left of the 15th and 16th fairways.

 

Irrigation equipment

All sprinklers and associated hoses are deemed immovable obstructions

 

Aeration holes

If a ball rests in an aeration hole on the green the player may without penalty take relief

 

Ground under repair

Areas defined by white or blue lines and or GUR stakes and wheel ruts.

Areas where stumps have been removed (including Chips and Sawdust) are to be treated as GUR

 

Posts behind the 14th green

Posts are ball location aids only immovable obstruction

 

Distance markers

Blue distance markers are 180 meters to the centre of the green

white distance markers are 135 metres to the centre of the green

red distance markers are 90 metres to the centre of the green

 

Suspension of play

in the event that the course becomes unplayable and it is necessary to suspend a play the following procedure will be adopted

One long blast at repeated intervals-discontinued play players have the option of marking their ball where it lie, or completing the holes they are playing take shelter and await further instructions

Two long blasts at repeated intervals-hey how you doing good resume play players should replace their ball at the marked spot or proceed to the next tee which is applicable and resume play

Three short blasts at repeated intervals postponement of play returned to the clubhouse for further instructions

 

Penalty for breach of local rule

unless specified in the local rule:

match play-loss of hull

stroke play-2 stroke penalty

immoveable obstruction (rule of Golf) refer to rule 16.1

Practise Nets pump shed on the 7th tee styles in addition if the ball lies outside a hazzard within two club lengths of the obstruction and within two club lengths of the green being played line of play relief must be taken. Relief may be taken if the obstruction interferes with the players stance or swing.

Immovable obstruction

Plastic pipe in the penalty area on the right hand side of the 5th fairway is an immovable obstruction if your bowl lies against it or close enough to the pipe that a stroke cannot be made without hitting the pipe penalty relief must be taken in accordance with rule 17.1 d
